01-13-2010
For nearly 50 years, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics has conducted the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Approximately 7,000 residents of 15 counties across the U.S. are selected to participate each year, providing national estimates for the incidence rate of a range of diseases including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. For 2010, the study has begun in San Diego County, California.
