Kaiser Provides Insight Regarding Senate Healthcare Bill

On November 30, 2009, Kaiser Health News (KHN) provided additional insight as to some of the lesser known items covered in the Senate healthcare overhaul bill: “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.” Among the seven items KHN named would be provisions to assist breastfeeding mothers in the workplace, education programs for youth and teens, increasing coverage for bone density scans, and additional funding to assist retirees who are under age 65.
The House and Senate have proposed separate health overhaul measures and are currently working to come to an agreement on one final version on which they will all vote.
